
Leadership Dialogue on ‘Building Trust in New-Age Commerce: Advancing Collaborative Growth Between Industry, Consumers and Government’
India's new-age commerce ecosystem is reshaping consumer access through technology-enabled convenience and hyperlocal delivery, with rapid expansion across metropolitan as well as Tier-II and Tier-III markets. As the sector evolves, it increasingly intersects with important policy priorities such as consumer trust, competition, data governance, labour reforms, the gig economy, sustainability, urban logistics, and digital inclusion. With the policy focus shifting towards effective implementation and balanced regulation, there is a growing need for meaningful dialogue among industry, government, academia, and other key stakeholders to foster a trusted, inclusive, and future-ready commerce ecosystem.
To discuss the evolving policy landscape and the future of India's new-age commerce sector, Chase Advisors, in collaboration with the Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation(SPMRF), organized a Leadership Dialogue on "Building Trust in New-Age Commerce: Advancing Collaborative Growth Between Industry, Consumers and Government."
The sessionwas honoured by the presence of Shri Jitin Prasada, Hon'ble Minister of State,Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Electronics &Information Technology, who delivered the Keynote Address. The discussion saw diverseparticipation from relevant stakeholders across industry, academia, and thepolicy ecosystem.
It explored how India can build a transparent, inclusive and innovation-driven digital commerce ecosystem through greater collaboration between government, industry, and consumers. The Hon'ble Minister underscored that trust is the greatest capital in the new economy. Industry participants also shared their perspectives on supporting the continued growth of India's new-age commerce sector.
