Vaccinate Seniors Today, Safeguard Tomorrow

As India’s demography transitions, ageing is rapidly progressing. The elderly population is projected to reach a staggering 347 million by 2050 exacerbating the nation's double burden of disease owing to the rising incidence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) along with the widespread presence of communicable diseases.

This poses a grave challenge to the sustainability of India’s healthcare system and safeguards need to be in place to ensure mortality and morbidity remain low, while healthy ageing is promoted reducing the burden on the healthcare system.
